What patients ask
before their first consultation.

Can I consult Dr. Gupta if I live outside Delhi?
Yes — and this is by design. Online video consultations are available to patients across India. You share your reports before the call, attend the video consultation from wherever you are, and receive a written plan afterwards. The clinical depth is identical to an in-person visit for most diabetes management scenarios.
Can diabetes actually be reversed?
The honest answer is nuanced. For some patients — particularly those with shorter diabetes duration and significant weight to lose — achieving sustained glycaemic control without medication is possible through metabolic modulation. We call this remission, not reversal. It requires a structured, evidence-based approach and is not achievable for everyone. We will tell you honestly at your first consultation which category you fall into.
I have been on medication for years and my HbA1c is still high. Can you help?
This is the most common situation we see. Uncontrolled diabetes despite medication usually means the current protocol is not matching your metabolic picture — not that treatment has failed. We reassess from the beginning: what is happening in your body, what has been tried, and what the right next step is.
What is different about a metabolic approach compared to a general physician?
A metabolic approach looks beyond blood glucose. We assess ectopic fat, insulin resistance, cardiovascular risk, kidney function, and the inflammatory picture behind your numbers. Your HbA1c is a proxy — what matters is what is driving it and what it is doing to your organs over time.
What should I share before an online consultation?
Send us your recent blood reports, current prescriptions, and a list of medications. If you use a CGM, share your sensor data or screenshots. If you have older reports showing your diabetes history, those are valuable too. The fuller the picture, the more useful the consultation.
I stopped treatment a few years ago. Is it too late to restart?
It is never too late to protect what remains. Our first assessment always begins with one question: what is still at stake? There is almost always something worth protecting — and a clear pathway to doing so.
